I humbly thank you for providing me the opportunity to serve you, the people of the 2nd Congressional District of Georgia, for another two years. During my time as your U.S. Congressman, I have done my dead level best to have a positive impact on all that reside in Middle and Southwest Georgia, and I remain committed to this goal.
Over the years, I have sought to be an advocate for our farmers and military service members. I have sought to protect our workers and retirees. And I have sought to bring economic revitalization to communities all too often forgotten by those in our nation’s capital.
I am proud of the successes we have had in these areas. However, challenges remain. After a contentious national election, we must come together to bridge our differences and find solutions to our common problems.
I ask that as we go forward into a new Congress and a new Presidency that we stand together as neighbors and work to provide a helping hand to each other. I am convinced that together we can do great things, and that with your help, we can ensure the American Dream remains accessible to all.
Thank You and God Bless,
Congressman Sanford D. Bishop, Jr.
